Kukah Visits EFCC, Prays For FFK, Obanikoro, Reuben Abati

– The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese Matthew Kukah on Monday, October 31, visited a former minister of aviation Femi Fani-Kayode at the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission

– Others visited by the Bishop include former junior minister of defence Musiliu Obanikoro and ex-presidential spokesperson Reuben Abati



– Bishop Kukah encouraged and prayed for the trio who were in detention


The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese Matthew Kukah on Monday, October 31, visited a former minister of aviation Femi Fani-Kayode at the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Abuja.

A source within the commission told NAIJ.com the bishop arrived at the commission’s headquarters at about 1 pm on Monday.

Kukah also visited the former junior minister of defence Musiliu Obanikoro and Reuben Abati, a former presidential spokesperson to Goodluck Jonathan.

Fani-Kayode, Abati and Obanikoro are currently being held by the EFCC for monies received during the 2015 general election.


The source told NAIJ.com that the Bishop who was accompanied by the EFCC’s chairman Ibrahim Magu spoke in kind word to the trio.

It was also gathered that the Bishop prayed for the trio.

“He spoke very kindly, he also prayed for and with them (Fani-Kayode, Obanikoro, Abati) and encouraged them to be strong as these are trying times for them,” the source said.
